This past Saturday, I had the privilege of being invited to attend a party given by one of my clients who recently transitioned to a new position.  It was quite an exciting event and I beamed with pride as I watched him and his family revel in the joy of a new beginning.  As I reflect back on the work that we did together that culminated in this happy event, I think about how many people struggle while they go through the process of searching for a new job and how much a career coach can assist them by providing tools, techniques and encouragement to help them get to the place they want to be.

By providing a framework with accountability, I can guide you through the process and support your emotional needs (and let’s face it, the ups and downs can be quite daunting!) as we work towards achieving your goal. There are many steps to the process and having someone there with the latest methods to elicit your skills and strengths, point out the best career websites to visit, discuss the use of social media including Twitter and Facebook in career search, role play the interview process, discuss salary negotiations and much more, is a valuable asset.  While going it alone can work for some people, the vast majority need a champion against a hostile world.  Your champion is your career coach.

I look forward to attending many more parties celebrating the career transitions of my clients. As always, if I can assist you in search, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Every success!
