Through the veil of the bleak news we have been hearing about jobs, I see hiring happening. Recently, I have had clients transition to executive positions (and several more in second stage interviews) with salaries in excess of $100,000 dollars in the IT, finance and insurance industries. Through the use of strategic plans, these clients were able to guide their employers into seeing that they were the correct fit for the job.
From the minute you show up in an email; in print; at a networking function; on a telephone call or interview; your message must be clear, succinct, precise and consistent. You want to leave that employer with the feeling that there is something so special about you, as opposed to the non-descript candidate searching for positions, that they must hire you.
